This year seems to have flown by (I’m sure we all say that every year), but it is time to start looking for some new faces to help run our club. If you have always wondered what goes on behind the scenes and how we get to have all the amazing fun and events organized well wonder no more, come join the team.
Every year all officer positions and two board positions become available and we (as in the general members) get to vote in an annual election for volunteer members to help keep our club running. If you are interested in becoming a part of that team please contact one of the current board members or officers. There are a total of four Directors serving at all times, each is staggered so that only two Directors terms are up for re-election in any given year.
If you would like to know more about each position available please don’t hesitate to contact the current member holding that position and also please feel free to attend one of our meetings which are held in the clubhouse the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm.

Welcome to Merced Horsemen's Association Web Site
Merced Horsemen Association (MHA) is a non-profit organization that is operated and governed by a group of volunteers whose goal is to bring together people who share a common interest--the horse. The club provides fun, recreational and instructional horse-related activities for adults and youth through a variety of events. These events may vary from year to year. Our calendar events often include clinics, shows, playdays, trail trials, cowboy challenge, gymkhanas, versatile ranch horse competitions, and reining/working cowhorse events.
As a non-profit organization, MHA operates on a volunteer basis. All club officers, board of director members, committee chairs, and helpers donate their time and energy to make your experience at MHA a positive one. Volunteers are needed to chair committees, work events, sponsor events, work in the kitchen, participate in work day projects, or run for office. Contact an officer or board member for information about volunteering!
Elections for officers and board members are held on an annual basis. Officers serve one year; whereas, the six board of director members serve three years, with two new members rotating in every year. Board and General meetings are conducted the second Thursday of every month. These meetings are held in the club house and members are encouraged to attend the meetings.
